All moorings enjoy countryside views and regular sightings of the resident bird life including ducks, swans and herons. The evening sunsets are pretty special too. Built along the natural lay of the land, the Lancaster canal boasts 41 miles of lock-free cruising – the longest in the country. On your travels, you’ll discover beautiful scenery and plenty of waterside pubs and restaurants. Thanks to its location near the M6, the marina offers access to many of the North of England’s most popular spots. Lancaster, the Lake District and Blackpool are all within easy reach. The family-run marina prides itself on delivering first-class customer service and facilities. What’s more, the owners also operate the award-winning Barton Grange Garden Centre and The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre – perfect for filling your leisure time!The £12 million project to build the new garden centre and narrowboat marina at Brock, just north of Barton, started in 2006. This new centre opened in March 2008, and the marina welcomed its first narrowboat in September that same year.
